Chairman attends cultural trade symposium

Wanda Group Chairman Wang Jianlin attended a cultural trade work symposium jointly organized by the CPC Publicity Department and the Ministry of Commerce in Shenzhen of Guangdong Province on May 17, 2013.

Wang made a speech with the topic of Forging the Global Distribution Channels for Chinese Movie Industry at the symposium.

In the speech, Wang introduced the situation of Wanda’s cultural business development, shared Wanda’s experience in building global distribution channels for Chinese movies and explained how Wanda promotes Chinese movies’ international influence through distribution and content production.

Wang recommended three ways of building global channels: overseas merger and acquisition, exporting Chinese movies to foreign countries and co-producing movies to spread Chinese culture.
